Trivia Night 2015
Little Sophia’s Trivia Night was a real success, we sold 53 tickets prior and had a great group of people attend on the night. We raised $4000 for the Kinder and there was much laughter, good food and even some dancing!
The success of the night relied upon the generosity of many people. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to each and everyone who helped this event to happen; whether it be helping to setup or pack away after the event, providing donations, bidding on an item, loaning the venue, hosting the trivia, auctioning items, organising and coordinating the overall event or assisting with countless details that needed attention on the night, it was all greatly appreciated by Little Sophia. Thank you.
This event has demonstrated the warmth, support and generosity of the Little Sophia community, we are indeed lucky to have such a great group of people supporting the Kinder and our children.
All the funds raised on the night will go directly towards the Kinder’s renovation and refurbishment plan. The Kinder has recently formed an agreement with our landlord to establish a long-term lease arrangement for the property. This now allows us to proceed with improvements with a sense of certainty that the site will remain our home for the long term.
The Board has developed a plan to improve the rooms and grounds of the Kinder which will include expanding the Kingfisher room, building a new office at the front of the Kinder, building a new multi-purpose room to be used for a range of activities and events to support parents and families at the Kinder and in the wider community.
In support of this plan, the Kinder has recently submitted an application for a government grant to assist financially. The plan can proceed whether or not we win the grant but the grant would certainly speed things up! This renovation project will be the focus of Little Sophia’s fundraising for the next few years.
Thank you also to all those who completed the feedback form on the night and for your great comments of appreciation and indications for improvements that could be made and for other fundraising ideas. We anticipate other such fun occasions in the future.
